John 3:16-21
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish,
but have eternal life. "For God did not send the Son into the
world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved
through Him. "He who believes in Him is not judged; he who
does not believe has been judged already, because he has not
believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. "This is
the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men
loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were
evil. "For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does
not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
"But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that
his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in
God."
Accepting Jesus as your Savior
Jesus is knocking at your door. Accepting
Jesus Christ as your savior is as easy as praying the
following prayer while truly meaning it in your heart and mind
as you place your faith into God’s free gift of love given to
those who choose to accept it.
My God
in Heaven, I have been so very wrong in my not following your
infinite wisdom. I followed my limited knowledge which leads
me astray from your immeasurable love. I admit to you my Lord
that You are the absolute truth and I have been living in my
own selfish delusion of truth.
I come
to You accepting You God and the loving gift of Your only
begotten Son Jesus as my savior. So that I can be free from
further deception and that I can have a personal relationship
with You God, I confess my sins against You and ask for Your
forgiveness.
God, I
know there is nothing more I can do in my actions or deeds to
obtain your forgiveness than for me to accept your Son Jesus
as my savior as with all of my efforts I fail to meet your
perfect standards. It is only with Jesus’ perfect life on
earth and His dying on the cross for my sins that has paid the
cost for my sins which allows You God to forgive me. It is
through Jesus’ resurrection from death on the third day that
bridges the gap between me being imperfect and You being
perfect that allows us to have a personal relationship
together God.
Thank
you God for your loving forgiveness and for Your Son Jesus as
You have set me free from the wicked worldly ways. Protect me
from evil and help me in my quest to learn more about Your
great gift to me and Your loving ways. In Jesus’ name I pray.
